Friends

As it says in "For the Strength of the Youth" we should all pick good friends who give us uplifting thoughts, and who can influince our actions for the better.

I have a friend (I won't say her name) that is very religous and doesn't like it when people lie to, disrespect, and steal from others.  She is a great example!

Your friends can bring your downfall or your rising, so when you pick your friends, do it wisely and remember, CHOOSE WISELY!!

Arise and Shine Forth

Arise and Shine Forth, that thy Light may be a Standard for the Nations.

Don't be afraid to be different.  Different is how God made us, and if he didn't want us to be different then why would he make us like that?

Like that one story in the October 2011 New Era magazine called "Chain Reaction" where the girl walked out on a bad movie.  No one else ended up watching the movie.  No one wanted to watch the movie, but no one except for her made an effort to walk out on it.  If it weren't for her they probably all would have!

Different is good, just as long as being different and acting different is being good.  I believe just one person can make a difference, just like in the story chain reaction!

Be different, or be what the world wants you to be.  You choose!  But be careful, what seems to be the right way, is not always the straight and narrow path!

Mormon Helping Hands

Painting Trash Cans

Annika and her friend

Mormon Helping Hands is a form of service that Mormons and their friends do to help others have a clean and pretty enviorment.  Painting trash cans was fun for little kids and it was service because people could look at the beauty of the trash can.  Maybe now more people will thow things away instead of littering!

Last year we picked up trash at a airport, painted trash cans (as you can see above and to the side), and picked up trash and twigs that had floated downriver during a flood.  We also mulched trees and playgrounds!

I can't wait until this year's Mormon Helping Hands to see where we will be helping, and how we can do service with a smile! :)

We Stand as a Witness

Our Reedemer

The Sheperd of our Souls

We stand as a witness of who?  Of Jesus Christ our savior.

No one is perfect like him, but many people strive to live like him.

Did you ever notice those girls who wear shirts with sleeves, and that cover their stomachs, who wear shorts past mid-thigh and pants not too tight?

They strive to live like him.

Did you ever meet a girl who likes a guy, but won't go on a date with him because she'd have to lower her standards?

She's trying to be an example of Christ.

How about girls and boys who don't go to dances until they are 14, and don't date until they are 16?

They are truely being an example of him.

We Mormoms may not be perfect, but we repent of our sins, and try to make others happy.

We try to think of Jesus, then others, then ourselves.

Come, Stand as Witnessesw of him with us!

As Sisters In Zion

Girl's Camp 2011:

The theme was "Your Happily Ever After Starts Today."  Girl's Camp is spiritual, but fun at the same time!

I wish every girl in the whole wide world could go to Girl's Camp!(Not boys, that would be akward!)  We all can go, we just need to make the choice to.

We sang "I am his daughter", and most of us felt the spirit so strongly we almost cried.  (Not in a bad way!!)

I wish I could be there everyday for the rest of my life! :)  I was so sad when we had to leave.  Luckily it was dark outside when we said our goodbyes, because I was crying!

Girl's Camp was the best thing that happened to me in my life, even though I was away from my family for a week!

I can't wait for Girl's Camp this year.  Girl's Camp can't come soon enough!
